Chelsea Ingram is a Brisbane native based in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute conservatory program.
Chelsea is an award-winning slam poet, playwright, and filmmaker. Her debut play Keep Calling played to sold out audiences at the Sydney and New York Fringe Festivals and was awarded The Sydney Morning Herald’s Critic’s Pick.
As a filmmaker, Chelsea has received VicScreen’s Best Director: Australian Short Award at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and was a finalist for the 2025 NewFest New Voices Filmmaker Grant. Her short film Laterz won Best Australian Comedy at Flickerfest 2026.
She is currently wrapping post-production on a short film, Shove It, and developing a feature film script, Cane Toad, with her filmmaking partner Nora Alalou.
